(Soparo.com) - A Kurdish web site, Soparo.com, discloses a copy of a communiqué that circulated amongst Ba'athist operatives in Hasaka, northeast of Syria. The communiqué's explosive directives provide a glimpse of the Assad regime support for terrorism against Iraq and the stifling of liberties against the Kurdish people.
Dated November 3, 2008, it directs the political cadre in Hasaka to:
Multiply its efforts to provoke and hound the Kurds.
Provide necessary assistance to the Iraqi opposition and the armed resistance for those entering Iraq and arriving from Iraq as long they carry the proper identity cards
.
Forbid to post any pictures of any Kurdish military or political leader in any stores or other places with the intent to sell or expose them.
Furthermore, it insults Massoud Barazani, leader of the Iraq Kurdistan region, by calling him ragamuffin. The Communiqué was signed by "Comrade Mohammad al-Sattam", Secretary of the Ba'ath Party in Hasaka .
